Workers' Stories IndexSuicidal Depression Because of Direct Abuse by WSIB.WCB years ago drove me crazy, literally.The biggest disservice by them was to drive me away after submitting a document they requested. My earnings from a menial company I was trying to run on my own. The earnings were reported, I had stamped proof of this yet they threatened to discontinue benefits. Years later when I had won my case and asked for the interest on $64.000 they told me because I had refused to deal with them way back then that I do not qualify to get interest on that cash. I fought these people for 15 years for that cash. All the way to the hospital with suicidal depression because of direct abuse by wsib. This is nothing more than a huge scam. They have stolen from me, more than just money. They also told me in the same interview that I could not handle 20 hours a week classroom work but to go get a job that would require usually at least 40 hours. (Name removed) held up his bandaged finger and said "I came to work injured" after I asked to justify how I couldn't handle 20 hours at school but I could handle 40 hours labour......
