Finally, the Ministry of Labour came and cited my employer with numerous citations for violations. Still WSIB, in their infinite wisdom, still denies my claim.

Hi,

I just want to report the injustice done by WSIB on my person.

I was injured at work and put in a claim as a traumatic stress work related incident. My doctor sent in the form and I filled out my part and sent it to WSIB.

My claim was denied by adjudicator.

My doctor sent supporting documents and psychcologist report states major depresssion. I spent three days in hospital at the onset of my depression after emergency doctor sent OPP to pick me up at work and bring me to hospital for admission. Admitting states major depression relating to work.

At work I had an accident in which I hit high tension hydro wires and broke the pole and wire fell on my truck. As I was about to leap out of the truck, someone yelled for me not to jump as I would be electrocuted. It scared the hell out of me. I had to stay in the truck for three hours while an electrician determined there was no more danger.

Also at work in the shop there was numerous dangerous equipment, with removed safety guards. The employer had removed the safety guards. Also the truck I was driving was unfit to operate and dangerous for my safety and the safety of others. It came to the point that I did not want to drive, for fear of killing myself or others. Complaints were unanswered.

Finally, the Ministry of Labour came and cited my employer with numerous citations for violations. Still WSIB, in their infinite wisdom, still denies my claim. I am getting ready and filling a letter of objection. I know it will be a long hard battle and will be tiring, but I have to fight for what is rightfully my entitlement to benefits.

In 1989 I also had a claim for back injury. I was pushed through the system and made a joke of because I did not know any better. The adjudicator threatened to cut my benefits if I did not cooperate or if my grades did not measure up to her or WSIB's standards. When you have pain it's hard to concentrate and give your maximum. Also, being away from home and going to school is hard. I made this point several times to my adjudicator and WSIB. Their answer was always the same; if you do not cooperate, benefits will be terminated.

I am still fighting to this day on this matter. Hope this insight will help the injured workers cause. We need all the help we can get.
I try and get help from my local MPP, but he was no help. Did nothing in the matter.

Again thanks for listening to my story and hope this will help.

Sincerely,
(anonymous) injured worker.
